Celebrating Failure
This semester I utilized my time at home to keep growing my social media accounts oldschoolmatt on Instagram. I dedicated the entire summer to getting into the best shape I have ever been in by adding 25 pounds of muscle in 3 months. I reached my goal and did so very well. After this weight gain, I wanted to get down to lose the fat and keep the muscle I gained. However, over the past three weeks due to school, I haven't been to the gym. The thing I learned about this is that consistency is the number one best option to attaining your future goals. Even if you're not going 100 percent it is better to still put in some work. Failure and embarrassment are the two hardest pills to swallow. I have failed many times in my life and it is super emotionally draining. However, you can't dwell on failure, you can't let it eat you up because then you lost the war. This class has helped me realize failure is just another part of the process.

Hi Matthew,
ReplyDeleteGreat work in the Celebrating Failure. Great for you for getting into the best shape, it takes and dedication to doing what you are doing. That why sometimes people tempt to fall but when you fall the only way is to go up.
Great story and all the best.
Hi Matthew, I like how you focused your time on growing social media and tried really hard to improve yourself. I do know what you mean by things going well then slowly losing discipline or all of a sudden. It sucks. I agree with the fact that we cant dwell on failure and that even though we lost the battle doesn't mean we've lost the war.
ReplyDeletegreat lessons on success and failure I really like how driven you are for fitness it shows discipline and mental toughness. Great job understanding consistency is everything
